Stuart Little Wiki
Reeko

Reeko is the deuteragonist of Stuart Little 3: Call of the Wild. He is a smooth-talking skunk who befriends Stuart when he gets lost in the woods, but he instead uses him in exchange for getting paid with marshmallows. He is in trouble with the Beast for not giving her the promised tribute and is hoping to use Snowbell as a way out. He was voiced by Wayne Brady.

Plot[]

When he first meets Stuart, he claims to be the Beast, but his secret is soon discovered. He says that he's not scared of the Beast, but deep down, he really is. Reeko is confident and fun-loving, but he only "teaches" Stuart because he's getting paid with marshmallows. Reeko, before he met Stuart, wasn't liked by any of the other animals. He kept on taking their food when he forgot to feed the Beast, until the others finally stopped loaning him any. He smells bad because since he is a skunk, he can spray a lot as this is shown when protecting the others from the Beast while zookeepers remark the next day that the smell will be hard to wash away and that the Beast smells like a skunk. When Stuart goes to save Snowbell from the Beast, Reeko tries to convince the other forest animals to help save him because he's grown close to him and he's now his friend. In the end, he tells Stuart, while sharing a hug with him, that he'll miss him and tells him to take care as he and his family leave.

Personality[]

Reeko is at first sympathetic, as he is in hot water with the Beast after failing to meet her tribute. However, he uses Stuart, pretending to be helping him in exchange for food payments (which he eats himself, instead of storing them for the Beast.) Later, he is cocky, goofing around until a bunny tells him that the Beast wants the tribute by that night, making him nervous. Later, Stuart invites Reeko over for dinner, where he eats like a glutton and also doesn't really tell the Littles much of how he met Stuart (partially due to him eating too much and him talking with his mouth full, and perhaps due to not wanting to tell the truth about what he's really doing.) Stuart kindly gives him more food and then goes back inside. Reeko is worried, knowing that that is not enough to please the Beast.

Up until this point, he had been more sympathetic than shady, but here, he acts pretty cold-heartedly, telling Snowbell to go to a party, one he doesn't think Stuart is cool enough to attend, and to shout out that Reeko sent him. Thus, Reeko intended to send the cat to his doom to save his own hide. He even makes callous remarks like "I hope Beast likes takeout." when seeing Snowbell in danger.

However, he later redeems himself after Stuart disowned him for his actions.

Trivia[]

  • Though actual skunks are natural predators of mice[1], Reeko has never shown any desire to eat Stuart.
  • Reeko is similar to RJ from Over the Hedge, in that he tricks the heroes into helping him pay off a debt to a predator, but ultimately turns on said predator.
  • While skunks can spray about five or six times before their glands need to refill, for whatever reason, Reeko only sprays Beast once.[2]
